Eco Award Accolade

Beauchamp College

July 2022: The Eco-Club received the Green Flag Award in recognition of their commitment to promoting natural conservation and sustainability at Beauchamp. In the 2021-22 academic year they recycled 2000 bottles and started work on a roof garden.

Qualifications all round

Broom Leys Primary

2022-23: Six teachers completed National Professional Qualifications; three in ‘Leading Teaching,’ one in ‘Leading Teacher Development,’ one in ‘Behaviour and Culture’ and one in ‘Headship.

Coalville school going from strength to strength

Castle Rock School

May 2023: After joining Lionheart Educational Trust in September 2022, an Ofsted inspection concluded that The Castle Rock School had “transformed;” it was also described as a “calm, orderly and happy place.” The school were graded ‘Good’ across four of the five criteria.

Food for Life Award

Hallam Fields Primary

June 2023: The school were presented with the Bronze ‘Food For Life’ award for their outstanding work on educating pupils about producing healthy and nutritious food.

National Award for Inclusivity

Lionheart Educational Trust

June 2023: The Trust won the Inclusivity category at the National MAT Excellence Awards. 

“Staff and student voice are central to the trust’s approach. The judges appreciated the impact of action being taken in a range of areas, such as recruitment, career development and the curriculum, and the focus across faith, ethnicity, class and LGBTQ+.” 

School Sport and Wellbeing Award Winners

Brocks Hill Primary

July 2023: At the South Leicestershire School Sport and Wellbeing Awards 2023, Brocks Hill was awarded ‘Primary School of the Year.’ 

School Games Mark Platinum Award

Sir Jonathan North Girls' College

2023: The Knighton-based all-girls school were awarded the Platinum School Games Mark Award, a testament to their commitment to promoting the importance of physical activity.
