Assistant Director of Mathematics (Secondary)

Leadership Pay Range L8 to L12

Lionheart Academy Trust is seeking to appoint an exceptional professional to join our Trust Leadership Team as Assistant Director of Mathematics in our secondary phase. The successful candidate will provide strategic direction, leadership and management of mathematics education across our schools. Our vision is for all learners to grow in mastery of mathematics whatever their prior attainment. We aim for our learners to become fluent in their use of mathematics, able to reason mathematically and solve problems in a variety of contexts. We see this post holder supporting our colleagues to fully embed the aims of the national curriculum so that all pupils make exceptional progress in mathematics, thus facilitating and unlocking potential in a wide range of other disciplines.

Lionheart Academies Trust was formed by Beauchamp College as outstanding provider. Beauchamp College is the lead school in the East Midlands South Maths Hub, one of a national network of 35 hubs across England, tasked with improving mathematics teaching and learning from ages 4-18. We do this by offering high-quality CPD and working with teachers and other mathematical professionals across the East Midlands region.

Lionheart Academies Trust is currently made up of a family of three primary schools and two secondary schools. The secondary schools are Beauchamp College in Oadby and The Cedars Academy in Birstall. By September 2018 there are plans for up to four more secondary schools, from the Leicester and Leicestershire area, to join the Trust bringing the number of children educated within the LAT to over 8000. As our trust grows there will be clear opportunities for career progression.

We are delighted to offer the opportunity for a talented and inspirational Teacher of Sociology with Health and Social Care to join our outstanding team from January 2018. Beauchamp College is an outstanding secondary school based in south Leicestershire and in addition to delivering KS4 and 5, have welcomed its first cohort of year 7 students this September.

An outstanding provider, Beauchamp College Social Science Faculty comprises of a dedicated team of full time subject specialists who teach Sociology, Law, Business, Economics, Accounts, Health and Social Care at GCSE and A’ level to a very high standard. We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated teacher to contribute to this growing, high performing faculty. NQT’s are welcome to apply.

To join our team in January 2018 for two academic terms on a fixed term contract we are seeking a diligent and committed professional, who can deliver consistently high quality lessons for our students. A natural team player, we are looking for a teacher who can integrate themselves well into a successful team. We are seeking to appoint an exceptional colleague with strong knowledge and passion for Sociology who is committed to improving achievement.

Sociology is a very popular choice for students at Beauchamp and popularity for the courses offered is growing.
